Guest speaker: Fr. William Mills - October 21, 2008
This Thursday, we will be listening to a guest speaker at our usual meeting
location (the LCC). Dinner will be served by St. Ignatius at 6:30p and Fr. Mills will speak on "The Social Implications of Divine
Liturgy," starting at 7:00p. Fr. William Mills has written many books on the Feasts of the Church and our Liturgical cyle of
Scripture readings. Also, the Bentons have invited OCF members for lunch at their house after our group worship at Assumption on Sunday.
Mentoring banquet on Sunday - October 1, 2008
This week's meeting will be an introduction
to this semester's Bible study and mentoring program. It will take place at the usual location. The mentoring
banquet itself will take place this Sunday at 2p at the Great Hall of the Memorial Union. These are exciting
opportunities, and I hope you take part in them with us.
Fall retreat this weekend - September 25, 2008
This weekend will be our 2nd annual retreat in the North Woods with Fr. Marc Boulos as our guest
speaker talking about the Book of Corinthians. This discussion is going to be an edifying and though-provoking
experience - please let us know if you would like to attend. Our weekly meeting - taking place today, as usual -
is going to be a Vespers at the LCC. See you there!
Fall Kickoff is today - September 11, 2008
Join us today for the Fall Kickoff at our usual home, the Lutheran Campus Center at 325 N. Mills St.
This Sunday is the Great Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. Carpool rides will be available to church at 9:00a at the Memorial Union parking lot. Hope to see
you this week, and enjoy our last days of warm weather!

Welcome back! The schoolyear has begun and OCF is also back too! Our first meeting is today
(Thursday) at King of Falafel. Meet us there at 6:30p for food and fellowship. Next week (on Thursday, the day OCF is meeting on this year) is the
Fall Kickoff at the Lutheran Campus Center (325 N. Mills St). Finally, if you are a student and are interested in the OCF Mentoring Program, please
read and/or fill out the following forms: Introductory Letter,
Student Registration, Student Survey. Please return the
forms to Hollie Benton or an OCF officer.
